S. LINN PERKINS

Ms. Perkins concentrates her practice in civil litigation, banking, bankruptcy and collection matters. She is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Ms. Perkins’ professional affiliations include membership in the Peoria County Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association; the American Bar Association; the American Bankruptcy Institute; the Association of Trial Lawyers of America; the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association; and the Abraham Lincoln Inns of Court – Barrister member.

Ms. Perkins is a co-author of “Collections – Starting Points: The Fundamentals of 11 Practice Areas”, published by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, and the author of several chapters of the practice handbook “Causes of Action” and “Consumer Collections and Consumer Bankruptcy” for “Advising Illinois Financial Institutions”, both of which were published in 2002, and has been a speaker for the Peoria County Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Program.

Ms. Perkins is active in various community organizations and presently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Peoria Production Shop and the Center for Prevention of Abuse, a social agency which provides prevention and intervention services to the elderly and victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault. She is also presently serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the Designated Zone Organization for the City of Peoria.
