Robert J. Hills

ROBERT J. HILLS is an experienced commercial and transactional attorney. A significant portion of his practice is focused on real estate, corporate transactions and contracts, estate planning, and related dispute resolution and litigation. He has a diverse background in business and real estate and has over a decade of trial experience in both state and federal courts. He has a client-centered practice and a passion for helping individuals and businesses achieve their goals and solve complicated problems along the way.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Hills worked for a national law firm where he primarily represented health care providers in the defense of medical malpractice claims, and handled various complex patient care issues and guardianships. Mr. Hills also represented a variety of individuals and businesses in the defense of personal injury claims and insurance coverage disputes.

Mr. Hills began his career at a Peoria-based general practice firm, where he represented clients in matters of business transactions, estate planning, real estate, commercial litigation, and criminal defense. During law school, Mr. Hills served as a Senior Business Editor on the board of the Thomas M. Cooley Journal of Practical & Clinical Law, where he participated in selecting and editing scholarly legal articles for publication. Prior to his legal career, he worked in commercial real estate in Chicago and developed a broad knowledge of real estate from the investment side. Mr. Hills is a Peoria native and enjoys mountain biking, running, fishing, hiking, and gardening, along with spending time with his family.
